Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film work since the 1980s. Her accolades are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is originally from New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett, her sister, and their mother were moved into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. The father of the family had split from the mother of their children. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was in high school, and realised that she was an actor and wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American studies) in 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the principal characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
